Advice?

I'm looking for the best 7.3 powerstroke I should look to get and as far as lifting it what's worth doing. I was thinking of a leveling kit and 33" tires but how much would a 3" lift cost and what would have to be done. Also anyone have any tips on what I should be looking for when buying one if I'm thinking of putting a plow mount on it

Are you planning to lift for cosmetic reasons? I also noticed your other thread about the '7.3 pros and cons'. Here's a good place for you to start to help educate yourself so you can make an informed decision when you decide to purchase: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...questions.html (It's at the top of the forum)

if fuel economy is high on the list, that will suffer some even more with bigger tires.

Lift and big tires - sure-fire economy killers.

At 3" you're probably looking at a leveling kit with some lift to it. Thats what I have. 33" isnt much larger than stock so you shouldn't loose too much economy with that. While lift amd tires do hurt economy, the biggest parasites are things you can't control, transmission (auto/manual) and 2WD vs 4WD. Those two effect mpg more than just about anything else (baring crazy lifts and tires). A moderate lift amd tires like you want will likely take only very little from your fuel economy. I have a 3" lift/level and 35" tires. I regularly clock 18mpg on a tank of mostly freeway driving.
