Where is my small leak

My '03 F350 6.0 has a small leak. I was under the hood/truck for over an 2 hours this evening and can not find it. I drove it for a half hour, so it was under pressure and to temp. We are talking maybe a quart a month. But there is drops in the snow none the less. I know its from the lower half of the motor and the drops are almost center, up front. There is a netting on the lower rad hose that's soaked. The sway bar is covered but I think its from the wind of driving. All upper hoses I can see/feel are dry.

What is it leaking? Coolant? Trans fluid? Oil? Fuel? Brake fluid?

Follow the lower radiator hose up to where it connects to the block. The spring clamp, over time, weakens. Mine did a couple months ago. I took off the spring clamp and added 2 screw-worm drive clamps in its place. Leak stopped.

Edit: It's tough to get in there.

I was looking at that clamp thinking that could be it. There was a little green above the clamp where the rubber ends and the metal starts. It was all dry so I figured it was spray. Maybe I will throw a new one on just to eliminate an option and hope that's it. Thank you

could it be weeping from the water pump? Not much center front of engine besides the pump and the couple of hoses....

It could be at the spot where the lower radiator hose bends to go around the steering box. It should have a plastic protector piece on it, but if it came off or moved out of place then the hose can rub on the steering box and cause a pin hole leak!

Just ask me how I know

And that lower hose is not cheap!!!

You are 100% right at hose being expensive.... over $130, commercial price mind you. SMH

Don't forget that there is a time when GREEN is ok.
That is if someone put the Ford additive package
into the GOLD coolant.

How ever if it needs to have that package added it is time to flush it.

All other times GREEN COOLANT = BAD JUJU

I had the Ford dealership where I bought it put all new fluid in. That's what they put in so I figured it was ok by Ford.

The truly sad thing is you can't always trust the Ford shop to do the right thing.
The reason is they let you Jr. Yard boy/girl do the fluid change and they can
make a mistake.

If it was just out of the shop I would go back and have then make sure it is
the approved coolant for the year and engine. If they put the wrong stuff init
then they need to drain, flush, flush, flush, flush some more then fill with the
right stuff.

Either way it's wrong, you asked for flush and change to FORD Gold coolant, they just added additive or they put green stuff in, either way, you. Didn't get what you paid for.
