Your Low Book is no where near the Low Value of this truck - Too many things visably wrong for even the asking price of $3000

Does it run - How is the transmission - Instruments work? - Brakes?
Taking over other peoples projects is a risky thing

OP says it has 4WD and if so, it's a conversion.

Worthless NADA price valuation guides are based on averaged out asking prices of vehicles for sale in Hemmings, newspaper ads, ebay and etc.

Prices are not based on what the vehicles actually sold for!

The front view shows things are twisted up quite a bit. I was feeling the love until I saw it.

I'd say with all the miss match parts and the front end damage he's gonna be lucky to find a serious buy at $1000.00 and that's if he still and the original axles to go with it.
If it still had the original drive train, even not running, it would be worth a lot more that the way it sits.

I agree with the others. The market is very limited, as you've noted, for a converted and modified 4x4 project. The vast majority of truck guys looking for this vintage are restorers or rodders. It will take a lot of work and money to put it back to "normal."

As Bill noted, NADA numbers for old cars is a joke. There's not nearly enough dealer sales in all areas to come to any kind of reasonable value in their traditional sense like they would for a Taurus. Condition and location is way too big of a variable to quantify a guide price.

If the 4X4 conversion is done right and it really only needs what is listed,
and always a little more. I would pay no more than $1500 tops. That is if it has no real bad rust issues.
