50 F4 on Fargo C/L

I was looking for some wheels to replace my W/M's and saw the F4 on the Fargo C/L. Couldn't figure out how to post the link but thought I'd mention it anyways. Doesn't look to be in too bad of shape. The guy says this ain't his first rodeo FWIW.

This seller is a bozo, imho. He never lists a price, expecting a customer to make an offer. Which he'll no doubt reject. There's too many other sellers that don't play games. Stu

Thanks Stu. I wasn't thinking of buying it but thought someone else mite. After paying 650 dollars to get my propane tank filled it was just a dream. Why they do stuff like that I'll never know.

I wasn't jabbing at you, it's just this seller's jerk approach that ruins his chance of getting me to check on one of his listings. Too bad because it looks like a nice truck. Stu

Where's Rojak? Stu, it does look like a nice truck. I understand what you're saying about his sales tactics. I hate when a seller doesn't list a price. I've run into a lot of them who want me to make the first offer, I always offer $1, then they get upset because they know it's worth more than a buck. I then tell them to counter with an offer. I usually just walk away most times because they want way too much.

Ain't no thayng Stu, maybe I worded my reply a little weird. The truck does look in pretty good shape.Wish it had more pics though. Just from what we can see, what do you suppose the value would be on that truck. I got mine for 250 and it ran. I probably got lucky. If he still has it come spring I might see about checking it out. 95 miles oneway from my house. I don't go to Fargo enough to recognize the background in the pic.

Considering all those gigantic holding tanks behind it, I'd say a quick browse of an overhead view from Google earth would pinpoint that truck's location in a matter of seconds.

But I agree, the seller is a putz if he doesn't have the marbles to post a price, but yet states this isn't his first ballgame.

Depends how straight it is face-to-face. And how complete. Last two M-Hs I bought are complete trucks and I paid $750 and $1000 respectively. But they weren't straight or rust free. This truck is missing its script bed, so that subtracts. I guess I'd still be in that $1000 range if it's as straight as it appears. That's just me, "your results may vary". Stu

Did the Google Earth search and think I've found general area. In the CL pick seems to be across the RR tracks from the
big tanks.

Looks like a solid truck and is the right color to be a stablemate to my F3. I sure wouldn't pay more than $1000 for it. I'd offer alot less to start.Too many out there wanting Barrett Jackson prices for their treasures. Do the sellers have any idea of the money it takes to bring one back? I tend to go on by the CL ads with no price.

I think if you look a bit closer, it appears that the picture was taken from the west end of the Adessa dealer auction site which is on the east side of the tank farm. If you look close at the picture above, you can see the larger tanks close to the truck and the smaller tanks behind them.

Yep, I think you nailed it.
Sad to say I was searching Google Maps to see if I could find the location.
The truck wasn't their when the image was made. So he has an auction house and is putting this on craigslist....Does that mean he couldn't sell it at auction? Especially since the listing says it has been on their for 28 days.

Or, he's a dealer and couldn't come up with the proper paperwork to put it through the auction.

The guy is either a real dealer, or an on-the-side dealer. I've seen several that he's put on CL with the same ad language. Stu

The reason I thought it was across the tracks is that it looks like railroad track siding gravel directly in front of the truck, but I think upon further looking that it is closer to the tanks like you said and on same side of tracks.
