Have you ever heard of a dealer refusing to give you the Oasis report for your truck? I have a used 6.4L with about 70k miles, and I want to see all that has been done to it over the years. It looks like a series 1 2010. My dealer said that was a proprietary Ford document and since I am not the sole owner of the truck, that I could not have the history. Are you kidding me?

Bottom line, (unpopular statement coming) A dealership does NOT have to give you an oasis report. It is a tool for the ford techs to use to make their jobs easier. Think about it, Do you have a right to the tools in their toolboxes? Its a courtesy for them to give you one. Did you purchase the truck from the dealership?
Nope....that is basically what he said. That is BS in my opinion! I own the truck, I should be entitled to the service history.
Thats complete crap! If your dealer wont give you it, move on to the next dealer. Maybe there is something he is trying to hide but who knows. Anyways it basically the vehicles service report and since its now your vehicle to service you should know its history. Find a diff dealer, strike up a relationship with the svc manager and im sure they will provide and like to earn your business.
That's not true either. I have my current oasis and it has everything from warranty to an oil change and everything in between that was performed at my ford
Dealer.
Oil changes are there because of a service contract, same as a warranty. Its handled the same way. When we work on one after the warranty expires, and theres no service contract remaining, its not on there.
