Driving overloaded like I did is something I definitely don't recommend to anyone, I only did this on important job sites. My main reason for doing this was mostly a lack of good labourers. I found that a lot of times if I went for a second load of crush that there was maybe 10 minutes worth of work done in the 2 -21/2 hours that I was gone and the employee/s were usually stoned or drunk when I got back. I've got major lung problems and found it quite frustrating when I was outworking 2 healthy people. When I retired I was blacking out in my sleep and then I started blacking out on jobsites. My A.B.G. o2 level was at 51% at rest, in the last year and a half I've brought it up to 60%. I push myself as hard as I can within reason and do the same with my equipment. When you maintain your equipment you can get away with using it hard if you don't do it to often. My doc thinks I'm crazy when I show up at his office when it's -30c and I'm basically not supposed to be out below -10. I've got a kids water snorkel that I stick inside my coat so that I don't breath in cold air and catch pneumonia. I know I'm giving you to much info but I figured you should know what kind of dumbazzed farmboy I am.
If I had a 5 ton I would have gotten frustrated with having to small a box or I would have put a trailer behind it and really abused the hell out of it.
