Well I have only a few more days and I'll be home. I'll be installing this TB and will have pics of the install.
Please bear with me as I'm trying to do a ton of stuff in a short period of time.
I have gotten a few mixed opinons on application data but I want to set the record straight.
I'm hoping to have it on by the end of the week.

Well this TB is a work of art!! Shiny doesn't even begin to describe the look, and big now it 'sgoing to let some air into hte engine.
I want to get some MPG results before I install the TB so I'll be installing it after the weekend.
I haven't found a dyno within resonable distance so I started the mods. I'll have a post up soon with my results.

I'm getting some limited MPG info right now. Before anything was installed I was able to get 12.2 and after the MAS + FIPK I got a 11.7 MPG. I'll have the TB on this week and will post results. I hope to find a dnyo to read the RWHP.
I'm taking a trip to FL and will keep the mileage. I hope to have good results for HWY and CITY.
So far things are ok, I just won't have the long term MPG results till next year. I hope to have some good results by summer '04.

Ok it's on. I drove it down to fill the tank. Just a casual drive as I always do, just drivin'. I filled up and did the math on a half tank. I was running the new MAS, & K&N FIPK during that half tank. Well seems as I got 12.5MPG this was a combination of HWY and city. Not too bad. Well I left the station and decided to try the "go" pedal. I was already rolling and she downshifted. I had to hold back as the RPMs were climbing fast with no sign of shifting to second. I figured it was because I was rolling and not stopped. I went down further, U-turned, and stopped in the street. I made sure it was all clear and stomped the pedal. Let's say HOLY COW is a "kind" term to use. The RPMs went to at least 4700 before shifting to second. I hit 70 and was running out of good road. I can only say, with a grin, "I like it,...I like it a lot!!!"
I have a video camera and may try to get some inside and outside shots of it rolling. I can say it was worth the cash. If I had stock tires this would turn them over easy.
BTW I now have a slight whistle from the K&N when driving. Not all the time, but when the truck gets close to shifting. It sounds ok but I could do without the whistle.

I'm running the PPIII, using the 93 octane power tuning feature.
I thought the cable was too long but I had a helper(daughter) press the gas and the TB opened up all the way before she touched the floor. Driveability is still the same, just when you give gas it's gonna GO.
The entire install took less than an hour. I had to reattach the FIPK and was trying to paint the cable cover.

Yes the COBRA. Fits like it was meant to be there.
I didn't have to grind or cut any part to make it fit. The new gasket fit the TB's oval shape but not the stock intake rounded square shape. I just used the OEM gasket since it was still good. I can say there is a power difference and well worth the cash.
I got it from ProficientPerformance.com, stock #AB-CTB96-98
for $349+shipping. Look under ACCUFAB, 96- COBRA 4v for more info.

Right on!!! More parts to buy!!! I love America!!!
Has any one tried machining out their TB spacer for their bigger TB? I like the whistle. Makes people ask, Turbo?.
Next up, MAF. Is a bigger MAF going to need bigger injectors and chip help?
Thanks again Heavy for putting up your info!
