Adjusting non-adjustable pedals (help a tall guy out!)
I just drove my new-to-me expedition for about 45 minutes one way, and realized that it's really not that comfortable to drive unless you can use cruise control ... i'm a little bummed.
i'm 6'2" and all leg, and it seems that the pedals are just much too close to the driver. I have to drive it with my toe pointed back as far toward me as i can to reach the gas pedal, and the brake is so high that i have to pick my foot up off the floorboard to reach it. it feels the same to me as trying to drive our 2004 f250 with the pedals all way up (toward the driver)
never really noticed it until my foot went kinda numb from such an odd foot angle to reach the pedal. I normally use cruise control on a drive like that, but it was snowy, so i had to drive it myself this time.
so i'm wondering if the adjustable pedals would sit farther down, closer to the fire wall, in their "all the way down" position (Furthest from the driver).
Thinking i might be able to swap my non adjustable pedals for a set that was adjustable, and just manually set them all the way down. don't really need them to adjust as the wife would rarely drive it.
Any other tall guys out there have problems with the non adjustable pedals?
Would the adjustable pedals even fit?
any thoughts?

good point, had to double check the equipment list online, but it came with fixed foot pedals.
if the pedals were 3 inches further away, they would be nearly perfect for me. the nature of my problem is my 36" inseam, i'm afraid.
the seat is all the way back, but my knees are bent almost 90 degrees driving, which i think is why it makes the foot position so odd for me.
i noticed right off that the brake was hard to reach for me, but that's typical for a ford truck, it seems that they don't want people to do "heel to toe" type driving for some reason, but i just didn't notice the gas pedal was so awkward until i had to drive for more than a half hour without using cruise.....
open to suggestion ....
