In my own backyard....

Pulled into a friend's shop today to pick up a carb for my 8ba project and here was this '59 3/4 ton factory 4x4. I'm pretty blown away and he says this guy just bought it from So. Cal and had it trucked here. Thought you guys would enjoy this. I know the guy who bought it so maybe I'll call him and we can have a 'fridgestock' meet out at my place.....Little rough around the edges, but between these two guys, they'll pull it outa the fire for sure.

I looked at that truck for months on San Diego CL. Clean, fair price, real F-250 4x4. Man-o-man I wanted that truck. But too many now, it wasn't meant to be. Guess I'm glad it found a good home, and where a friend can keep an eye on it. Stu

Funny how these things go. You knew the truck and you've been to Orcas Island. The world is a small place indeed.

Sweeeeeeeeet! Looks alot like my 60 when I got it 17 years ago only better. If you are a really good friend of that guy GB, you should have taken those two short chrome rails off after you took the pictures. Ha, Is that a 292 truck or 223? Looks like it has lived a easy life on the west coast.

292. He's coming over this afternoon. I don't know him too well, but I know the guy who's shop it was parked at. He's going for original condition, so he'll most likely lose the rails. He has a beautiful bumpside crew cab f250 and wanted something 4x4. Don't get a lot of visitors out this way!
