Just spoke with the owner. He deals in vintage camping trailers and was on one of his hunting missions when he found this truck sitting at a repair shop that an older gentleman owns. The PO bought it 20 or so years ago and put it aside to restore for himself, but is now getting up in age and sold the truck to the current owner. He has no prior history on the truck. The truck was found on the coastal area of Oregon. The current owner told me that there's a "collector" from Portland that is interested and had sent a guy to look at it yesterday. Only concern for the "collector" is locating the transmission. Lastly, the PO wasn't aware that the rear fenders are from a 1953+ truck.
Stu, or any one else knowledgeable in MH trucks, are the transmissions different for MH conversions than in regular trucks?
I told the current owner that I'm interested and have requested him to email me a few pictures of the truck and the MH specific items to make sure that the MH parts are correct. There is an OR title with the truck. The front wheels are loose, but the rears are locked up.
I'm sure the current owner bought the truck really cheap, like $500-1500 maybe.

Ilya,
I have done that drive enough times to know....it'll take you 8 hours to Grants Pass if you're towing. There are a couple of pretty good sized hills between here and there. If it is a true MH truck that price isn't too bad. Make him an offer! I'll be up there the weekend of Feb 22....let me know if you need a hand.
I was going to say that the seat in the pictures looks like the seat that was in my truck!! That cotton batting is a favorite nesting place for all sorts of rodents!!

Four speed spur would have been the transmission. Don't think they used the light 3 speed. AFAIK it's nothing special. If you get better pics have him do the rear lift blocks too. In the pics now I can see the case and cross member, but not the shifter. Also probably want a pic of the plate above windshield. Stu
