Difference in Low Pressure power steering lines

I am replacing my power steering lines because I bent the lines and I had one leaking. so I decided to just replace them both. and I notice that the low pressure lines are bent in different area and I am have issues getting the new line in. does anyone have any ideas on how the new line get installed. I just don't want to force the line in to place. Other Question do u use Power Steering fluid or Automatic Tranmission fluid for fluid in the lines.

here are some pictures.
both lines

Take your hands and gently bend the line around till it will mate up to the steering box. Why it's not the same I don't know, but you have it, and you should be able to make it work. Just don't kink it. Pick a spot and bend the line some, and then move on either side of that spot and bend it some more. You can't get all the bend you need in one spot if doing it by hand. You can go to the store and buy a bender and then you can make tight bends without kinks. They have them on the shelf.

I was thinking that if I do kink the line or can not get it to bend probablythat I could just cut it and put some rubber hose in it spot or at least to make it work. I got some spare hose. put I am going to go to the parts store and see if they have one that is design for the 460. I did look in my manuals that the 5.8l hose look like that one I got from the store. and there is one for the 460 apparently. so I am going to see if they can find one.

I would add a hose as a last resort. Try to bend it first. Looks like to me from the pictures you need to twist the end around more than bend it. It will twist a lot without kinking. Just be gentle and do it a little at a time.

I would second the last-resort suggestion, the steel-line fitting to the pump is the high-pressure one..

The steel fitting come off of the gearbox. I am going to try and bend it first.
