Turbo Chatting With Me

Turbo Chatting With Me
I've made it up North, and on my 3rd trip back up I got a separate transmission issue. Because of that I decided I would post about these problems too.
For a long time, at least since last labor day, my turbo has been acting up a little. When I got on it, and not very much either, and the boost builds, it will start to chatter. It sounds like a pinwheel in front of a compressed air nozzle, it has that "ch" sound you hear every time a pinwheel blade hits the air. At first I had a trailer behind me and I was going up some decent hills at 65 so I wasn't surprised. Now it is to the point where I can simply put my foot to the floor on the flat highway and it will start to do it very quickly and easily. I don't think I am experiencing surge, but if I am, I have no idea why it seems to do it at such a low level of boost. (I am purely speculating here, I haven't done any data collecting runs and I have no gauges in the truck.) What do you guys think?
Recent list of what I have done concerning the turbo functionality. Bellowed uppies, approximately a year ago, but no signs of leaking. Rebuilt the turbo in late december, as well as new pedestal o-rings, plenum inserts and a new set of boots all around, and a cleaned out intercooler.
Hope you guys can help me figure this out,
Thanks

Bump this up top for you. I see you have the 6637 intake. I never had this intake but I here it makes you here all kind of things and surge is one of them. You mitt want to go to an upgraded wheel or ported intake housing. That should take care of your surge. If you can post the sound we can help you better.

You can definitely hear a lot more with it on, from what I remember with my stock box. I really like it that way, and it seems to do good filtering so that is nice. I have definitely considered a billet wheel, but I never win Clay's giveaways so I don't have one yet, haha. The other reason is I just rebuilt my turbo and didn't want to chew up a new wheel if I'd done it wrong.
I will try to get a good sound clip of it, but it will be later this week for sure. If I think of it I will try to get it with a snapshot of AE so we can watch some numbers too.
