Did you notice a difference in performance when you did that?

 

It's been so long since I did it I honestly don't remember. Most that do it say there is a difference.

How come there are so many people who are in multiple chapters?

 

Lots of them just stop in to say hello. I visit some of the more active ones. Jim from Vermont, Steve from Alabama, Pat from Nebraska, Ken from MA and a few others stop in for a chat now and again. By FTE rules a person can only be a member of one chapter.

So I'm doing the alternator on a Ford Escape. I have to remove the axle and the exhaust to even get at it! What the hell!

No, my sister had an '05 escape, her husband was able to just unbolt it and it swings down I think. SHe was all worried about it as well, but there are articles online about how to do it without removing axle and exhaust

This was 2010. Ther was physically no way to remove it without taking parts off. No room. Couldn't even access the bolts.

 

Did ya skin a knuckle? Leak some blood?
