My drip rail has some light corrosion underneath the paint but other than that the truck is rust free. There's no way to fix it without destroying the rail. What most guys do is replace the roof but I'll just do a drip rail delete one day. I don't really see the point of a drip rail anyway other than being able to crack the window on a rainy day.
Hahaha. Yeah the dents usually don't have drip rail issues but the bumps do. Same with the box sides on the actual bump. The top of the bump is a seam. It's not smooth. Water just sits there and turns the metal into rust. Bumps in general just have way more seams on them than necessary.
The way those bumps are done doesn't make a bunch of sense to me. Would it not have been better to put the joint on the bottom. I think Jim and I had a discussion about that one day.
Seems like that truck has had a rough life. I'm kind of surprised that the dent box fits on there. The frames were only the same from the rear of the cab forward. Hood seems okay. I might take that gas cap though. I'm always worried about someone stealing mine.
