I have thought of a crock pot once it has been browned in the frying pan. Never on the bbq though.

I don't mind doing it in the skillet. Got the bacon stuff from frying. Gives it a little extra. I used a brown gravy mix and some Roux after they cooked in the beef broth for 90 minutes..

I think mine is pretty much the basic recipe. It's the one my mom used although now she rolls in a little rye bread as well.
