Vermont February BS thread - where love of BS is plentiful and hopefully it actually snows

Oh, I get it, but I can dream, right? lol
Problem is, I'm on a budget. And I'm not willing to gamble hundreds of dollars to go pick up a bed only to find it's not in the condition as advertised.

Good morning Vermont and FTE land. Have a productive snowy hump day. They think 6-12" but with daytime snowstorms you typically divide the range by 2 then be glad to see that minimum. So I say 3-6" possible but be presently surprised with anything more than 3". My wife last night said some schools already closed. Pansies

No luck with the transmission last night. I pulled the speed sensor out as preventative maintenance because they corrode in the casing and not fun to remove when the transmission is in the vehicle. So the stupid 10mm hold down bolt broke. As Dan at just escorts said, the speed sensor was corroded in so that took half hour or better to get out and clean up. Must have taken 45 minutes or longer to get the rest of the hold down bolt out. Welded two different nuts onto what was left sticking out and both broke off. Then tried to drill it for using an easy out, the bit broken in the bolt shaft. I found a thin nut and welded that onto what was left sticking out and finally got it out. But the nut broke off as it was half way out but was able to get vise grips on it to finish the job.
Got transmission up into position but having hard time getting it aligned now.

If you can use an extra set of hands let me know Jim.
What is that white stuff? Maybe I'll get to run the Snowblower this winter after all.
Good morning woodchucks. Happy hump day.
PS - sounds like how all my projects go.

Thanks for the offer Shawn. I'll try it a different way tonight, but stand by the bat phone just in case.

Good morning Scott, Ken, Wade and all visitors to our woodchuck wonderland. Chief woodchuck Jim should be jumping for joy. Might have 5-6" of fresh white stuff to play in. Of course, he'll be under the Escort.
