New to the site - Long time B2 driver - Own 3 - Have had 8.
Does anyone know why these keys are Different? All for Bronco II's & are all factory Ford OEM. The 1st is aluminum & is from a 1984 XLT. The middle one is from a 1987 XLT and is made of brass. The last one is also brass & is from a 1985 XLS. I can find the brass blanks without any problem, but can not find the aluminum ones anywhere. Why would they make them differently? I have seen aluminum Ford keys before for Mustangs & T-Birds... but not blank ones. Does anyone know where I can get them? Or what the purpose of different keys would have been? 90% of the Ford keys I see for vehicles from this era are like the last one. I've even seen other Bronco II's (1984-1990) all with the last key. Were the first 2 optional, or meant as valet keys?

 

My 94 F-150 key is more like the last one in your picture, but then my brothers 2 f150's have keys mire along the lines if the big 2nd one in the picture, and they are 95 and 96s. Buuuuuuuut I also have the keys to a 72 F100 with the FACTORY key being a shorter version on my 94 key.
