It will run up to 30 no problem if I mash the go pedal, I've seen it hit 33lbs before really gettin on it up a hill, idk if the injectors are stock or if the turbos had anything done to it

I'm thinking your injectors are not stoock.
heck my stocker with chip, intake, exh would barrrly do 22-24. no chip,20 tops with no leaks.

i still have the mashed ford downpipe on it and the stock air box with a wix filter i just changed 5000 miles ago. will i see any noticeable power gain changing out that downpipe? ive been told it'll drop the EGT's some due to less restriction which is what im after...

the truck is straight piped and even with that crushed downpipe you can really hear the turbo whistling at idle, not like a 6.0 but its defiantly there. i get compliments on my turbo whistle all the time when guys check out my truck lol

this is the worst thing about buying a used truck especially from someone who'd only had it 7 months and knew nothing of mechanics or the history of the truck. i don't remember my little brothers whistling like that and his was stock w stock downpipe, injectors were all stock rebuilds cause he put um in and that thing wouldn't roll any black smoke to save its life, mine with the chip on setting one will blow some black smoke when ya get on it turn it to setting 2 and itll roll black just until the turbo catches up which doesn't take long at all, i got a video on a buddies phone of us being stupid today in the snow with a makeshift sled hooked to my truck ill have posted to facebook hopefully soon

im wondering what brand all the stuff thats been put into it is now lol i think then if i redo it all someday ill have to go with rosewood stage 2's then and a bigger turbo, i been looking at the D66 turbo but honestly i don't think that would be much different than a GTP38R with the riffraff wheel would it?

The D66 and 38R work great with Stage-2's.
The D66 would drop right in for $1200-ish.
The 38R you need driver's side manifold, up-pipes, downpipe, intake, etc, on top of the turbo cost of $1400-ish.

Just placed my order with RiffRaff this morning, i ordered the turbo rebuild kit, pedestal orings, fuel bowl reseal kit, oil cooler reseal kit, banjo bolt orings for the fuel pump, and the doughnut gaskets for the up pipes to go with the bellows i'd ordered and some CCV o rings. that'll do it for now i think, im gonna have a stack of parts in my room here for school.

i keep beating myself back and forth about what i wanna do with this truck, in the end its going to be more of a family vehicle for trips to the lake and working around the farm pulling stuff i want to go all crazy with it but at the same time i know ive got to start saving money for a place after i get my degree which is hopefully a year and a half away

well i got all the parts in i had ordered, was looking through the turbo rebuild kit and noticed that i didn't get a compressor housing oring in it, i don't know why that wouldn't be considered necessary in a rebuild kit but for some reason apparently its not so i placed another order this evening for that oring and now hopefully ill have everything i need on hand to get this job knocked out in short order far as parts that would have to be ordered in. i still gotta pick up oil and filter since im getting close to oil change time im gonna go ahead and do that, and some more coolant since i would imagine im gonna have to drain it all down to do the oil cooler reseal and i will inevitably loose some doing that

nobody warned me how big of a pain in the *** this project was gonna be lol so many broken bolts, so little space to work in, having to pull the trans again good lord its been a long day. worked on truck all morning went to work for 5 hours and then went back to working on truck until about 10 tonight. i really did not plan on it being this difficult and taking this long, getting those up pipes and pedestal bolts out good lord is that a pain in the ***.

can you guys tell if this is a factory compressor wheel or a aftermarket?

I don't "THINK" it is, but I'm really not sure. It's been quite a while since I've paid much attention to the looks of a wheel. I also can't tell anything from the video so I'm not much help. I will agree though, that work can be and is a pain in the a$$!

I'll bump you up and maybe someone else can tell on the wheel.
