Question Remove plug wires from plugs?

Ok, I give up. How the heck do you get the plug wires off the spark plugs on a 4.6l in a '98 Expedition? I've pulled and twisted and yanked, and those suckers just won't come off. My Haynes manual says there is a tool, but that you don't really need it. Is there something I can spray in there to get them to release? Should I get the tool? If I am having this much trouble with #1 I can't imagine what it is going to be like getting the ones in the back off.

Thanks in advance,
Rick L.

First, welcome to FTE!!!

Try twisting the plug boot first to break it loose from the plug,
then pull out. This is the reason to use plenty of dielectric
grease inside the boot when you re-install them.
