I couldn't believe we once changed a caravan water pump in a parking lot 200 miles from home with just some wrenches from wal mart. Perfect!

I did not see where you insulted anyone here As for your Quest issues ? I did not see a post about that . That , is a horse of a different color .

we're good, I like to work on most anything. But I'm not a tech by trade. Just try to help out my friends and family, but honestly I rely on people from this forum and my mechanical nature.

Having referenced a couple of Ford EVTMs, and seen a few of their electrical systems, this doesn't surprise me one bit. I wouldn't be surprised if it caused the power convertible top on some random car behind the shop to go up and down.

More likely a hole through the diff into the bellhousing. Most likely poked through by a loose pin in the diff.

Yes, we were right about the hole and it broke the crank sensor and the starter.

Glad I don't have to put it back together because they sold it to someone for parts.

Could be from the diff to the bell housing because the bell housing fragements were in the bell housing. I would have to take the trans apart to know for sure and that's not going to happen now. Doesn't really matter. I was just saying that I didn't think it was a seal because of the symptoms.

Your pics are the same size as the thumbnails. I think we all "get the picture", but it's always interesting to look at carnage pics....

Just got this, it is a quote (If you have a hole in the bell housing, Then the pin from the final drive gear may have punch a hole in the case. which means you need to either replace the case and switch all the internal parts into the new case or replace the transmission.)
