Will a steering column from a bronco fit into the 66 f100?

 

What year Bronco?

 

Well I'm looking to put an automatic steering column in my 66 f100. I would like it to be shorter than the original if possible, and not have the key on the column.

So I'm trying to find what years, and what vehicles I can either pull one or buy one from.

 

If the mounting angle stays the same and no tilt then shorter means farther from the belly, but closer to the legs/knees.

 

Good luck finding one. The Bronco guys are looking for them too.

A possibility is a midsize or compact car. My 65 Mustang doesn't have a ragjoint, the column is pressed into the box, I think Falcons were the same.
