Swap Std 3.73 for Limited Slip 3.73
I gottem a 2000 F-350 2wd crew-cab dually diesel with a std 3.73 Dana rear end.
Has anybody swapped this type of Rear End for a Limited Slip?
I'm looling at swapping the entire rear end, cuz I just got it back from the Dealer telling me the rt rear oil seal has worn a grove in the axle. To replace just the "axle housing" they say: $3k (gimmeabreak).
Just wondering what I may be in for...
(I'd rather have the limited slip if I replace the whole thing).
Thanks in advance.

It probably would be cheaper (as well as easier) to swap out the whole thing. You should be able to find a salvage yard rear end for less than $1k. Then it becomes a bolt for bolt swap you could do in the driveway.
