Transmission Cavitation?

In the past month I have felt a progressively growing surging type vibration at idle on my 4R100. It is sort of the same kind of drone you get with open exhaust...though not as loud. At certain speeds it can be felt moderately. Spoke to a friend that is relatively smart about these things and he said he thinks the pump is surging because the tranny fluid is foaming. He had a similar problem with an E4OD. I will try anything to get this anoying vibration to go away. He said to go ahead and drain tranny, add a new filter and new fluid. The truck has only 22,000 miles on it and I aould like to diagnose it instead of letting it sit at the dealer for however many days while they try to figure it out. Any ideas on this theory?

Sorry everybody, I went ahead and answered myself so my post would make it back to the top. I am SURE there is a transmission expert out there who can answer my question. I have received nothing! Man I feel left out. But seriously folks I am going nuts trying to track down this vibration. Is there any chance it is "cavitation" in the tranny caused by fluid foaming?????? ANYBODY
