2011 F350 Radio Issues

Hi all. New to whole forum idea so apologize in advance if this is posted in wrong subject or whatever. But any ideas for an 11 F350 that as far as i can tell has just about every option minus the leather seats being heated. Since i purchased this truck second owner, i have had intermittent problems with the radio cutting out the speakers it seems when it gets warm. Never have trouble until truck and radio have been operating for a time. The funny part is it has a factory sub under the rear seat and the sound to the sub doesn't cut out. It cuts out for a second or two then back on and repeats this often enough it bugs the crap out of you trying to listen to the radio. If you shut it off for a time it seems to get better for a while but will come back after radio has been turned back on for a while. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also it doesn't matter whether it is FM, USB Line IN, or Bluetooth. All play modes are affected in the same manner. THANKS for any ideas or help

Mine does it when it is cold and I run the heat on high for a while. I believe the amp is getting hot from the heater duct work and starts cutting out. If you turn your AC on in the vent setting it will stop. I have an appointment to get mine checked soon. I have only found one other person online that has had this issue.

Same problem here. My truck is just out of warranty and customer service is looking into helping me out. Dealer told me it needs to be replaced. Should here in 4 business days from Friday.

Thanks for the responses. My best guess the way it acts was that the amp or something elec in radio itself was heating up also. Odd that the sub continues to work if the amp heating up but maybe the amp is driven by its own sub? And RigPig I would really be curious to hear what they tell you when you find out because mine too is just past warantee. (Of course)

It is a little late but mine was the radio. When I ran the heat on high in the winter it would heat the radio and cause amp to cut out. Dealer replaced radio under warranty. Has worked fine ever since.
