Help deciding on a lift kit

Ok guys this is my first post. ive looked all over this forum for the past couple weeks. Im lost now haha. heres what i want. i want to lift my EX either 4 or 6 in (kinda leaning 6) im wanting to run stock wheels with 315s to start. i really dont want to have blocks in the rear either. these kits below give me rear leaf springs which is why i like them. (they have an excursion kit but it uses 5 in rear blocks)

6in Suspension Lift System for 99-04 Ford 4wd F-250 / F-350 Super Duty | Rough Country Suspension Systems

4in Suspension Lift System for 99-04 Ford 4wd F-250 / F-350 Super Duty | Rough Country Suspension Systems

will these work on my ex? i assume they will but they arent listed as such. so should i add 2 in to the height of the lift since they are for a SD? if so does that apply to front and rear? any help would be great.

thanks again

I am not sure if those will work or not, and I know almost nothing about Rough Country lifts.

It seems like many people have had success with BDS, and honestly that is the way I am leaning. They are a bit more expensive than those you are looking at, but I will pay more for proven and recommended performance.

Here is a link to all of their Excursion suspensions (4"-10").

2000-2005 Ford Excursion 4WD 10" lift kit 305H | BDS Suspension

You can get the 4" with a full springs for the back, the option is under step 2 when you customize the kit.

I will be doing this mod later this spring, and I can not wait!

Hope this in some way helps, Good Luck with your choice!

I was looking at the rough country all spring 4" lift for the F250/350 which will actually net 6" of lift on are EX's since they sit about 2" lower than a superduty. I have decided to go with the X/B spring swap instead & a leveling kit in the front factory 4" blocks in the rear & mod the rear B springs with Bilstein 5100's for shocks. Should get me close to 4-5" of lift & fit 315/75r16's

I think ultimately it is up to you on if it is worth it or not. I am going to do it, as I think it is worth having all new springs on the truck. It is a peace of mind thing for me. I honestly can't wait to get the suspension kit. March can't come quick enough!

I installed the BDS 4" with new BDS rear leafs and dual Fox 2.0 shocks in the front. and Fox 2.0 in the back. If I had to do it again I would do the exact same thing. I have been running this set up since last June. It was expensive but I recommend it.
