is there any alternatives beside swaping efi to carb

I have a 92 f350 351w and I have been have eec problums with the truck since iv owned it.im kinda thinking about switching fromethe efi system to a carb system but I have an automatic trans and it sounds kinda expensive for the stand alone controller also dont really know what it is or where to get one.any one know what about they cost or if theres any other way i can get around that issue.

I can't think of even one reason to go and convert a EFI engine to Carb

Id like to keep it efi but im sick and tired of buying new eec boxes and I cant figure of y they keep burning out do u have any suggestions?

I can understand the urge to just be rid of a system with undiagnosable issues. I had a Honda with intermittent undiagnosable ignition issues; I could just not figure it out. If I could have slapped a points ignition in there I would have (not that I am a fan of points). I ended up scrapping it.

92...I would start a post titled something like "EEC burns out." You might get the answer you really need.

Oops...I now see you already did the post as I suggested.

Regarding the EEC post, you said you didn't want to open it up due to warranty issues. That sounded like a good suggestion...you sure your EEC has a warranty?

Im going to call them tomarrow and if its not under warranty ill open it up and see whats up with it
