4wd and lift ?'s.... 92 f150 302 4x4
first ? when in 4wd the truck is hard to keep centered. it wants to shoot to the left or right VERY dangerous feeling, i know nothing about 4wd, but traded my 2wd(paid 500 for it 10 yrs ago) i6 reg cab for a 92 4x4 302 ext cab mine had 300,000 miles,(only 120,000 when i bought it) and the new one only has 72+++. i like this 92 do to no airbag i can change steering wheel out. but any way, in 4wd it yank to the side looked it up for days now, and i have seen camber/castor bushings, ball joints, u joints, hub lockers(???) and maybe gears inside the front diff. where do i start diagnosing these issues?
second one alot of ppl say BL is bad i was thinking of doing 2-3 inch lift then doing the shackle flip and then just evening out the front i want 35's. is a BL that bad i dont go muddin, just want beefier look.

Are you saying the truck veers left or right but only in 4wd and not in 2wd? U-joints in the front drive system on these trucks are prone to drying out and seizing from lack of use so I suggest you dismantle the front end and replace them all so that you have a smooth operating 4wd system before you further mess up the handling characteristics with a lift and big tires.
Also note that this truck will need a gearing change for 35" tires if you want even half way respectable performance, I'd suggest 4.30 to 4.56 gears depending what transmission the truck has.

Body lift is fine, durability-wise, if all you're gonna do is drive around town. But it will look ugly with the body/bumper gaps and nobody likes seeing underneath the truck when looking in the wheel wells either. So you'll need gap guards or make your own.
Everybody has different opinions on using a body lift off-road. My buddy has a 3" on his Chevy with no problems... but I wouldn't do it to mine. Just a matter of preference.

yes veers in 4wd not 2wd i have new WB to put in this week so i will change the ujoints too while i am it. and the 35's are down the line, but i need to fix fuel pump and have to take off the bed so i figure i would do the shackle flip and BL right then. i already have 33's when i got it. i dont drive it much, just up the road to the farm every once in awhile.
is it expensive to change gears? do i do both front and back? can i change gears while i have the 33's on it then put on 35's later? should i go with a larger rim and 35's or just stick to aluminum 15's?

i dont do any muddin or anything its really just a highway truck, maybe pullin a boat, but hell if 35's are that big of a deal im thinking maybe just going with larger rims.but thanks for the help what i had really cared about about was filling in the wheel wells when i did the shackle flip/BL. nothing worse than seeing a lifted truck with itty bitty tires. and i just dont think the 33's are are gonna be cutting it.
