1946 (actually 1942) Ford COE sleeper

So I realize that this thread is 6 years old at this point, but just wanted to update everyone. Just bought the 1942 Ford sleeper that is in this post off the guy that purchased it in Arizona. Picked up a 1999 F450 dually 7.3 automatic yesterday as well and she’ll start getting the treatment she’s long deserved. Anyone with parts or ideas, please let me know.

Great. That will be cool. So it wasn't Chris who bought it, after all!!?

And whatever happened to Chris?

No idea. I bought it from a guy named Ron in Cave Creek Arizona and hauled it back to Southern California.

Chris is still around. He's on FB doing a lot of work for a volunteer organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace. He's quite active with that. Maybe if he gets notice of this updated post he'll stop in and tell us more about it.

Welcome Aboard! Start up a build thread & let us follow along.
So... How close is the wheelbase & width on that modern chassis?
