water pump

So guys I was wondering at what point a water pump replacement should be considered on my '99 E-150. been cold here in chicago and about a month ago there was a little coolant weeping out of it on a cold startup.

Has not leaked since then but has been making a bearing noise that is getting worse. as the engine warms up this noise does go away. This pump has about 80,000 miles and would rather not attempt it until milder weather. Thanks

If the coolant is seeping out and you've got bearing noise its just a matter of time before it lets loose on you---this won't heal itself!

Bad lucking being what it is it'll all come undone at the worst possible time. I'd find someway somehow to change it out on YOUR time, don't leave it to that wicked biatch well call "Lady Luck"---she lies!
