After 2 1/2 years of working on my 78 F350 I'm now ready to order carpet and I'm being asked if it's a high tunnel or low tunnel over my C6. never heard of this before. anyone have the answer? thanks bill

Careful, a lot of C6 2WD trucks are high tunnel.
Look under the carpet, if it has the removable tunnel cover it's a high tunnel. If the tunnel is not removable, it's a stamped part of the floor, it's a low tunnel.
Both of these trucks were 2WD C6 trucks, the orange was a high tunnel, the black one a low tunnel.

I wonder too. 4spd and 4wd are obvious but when it comes to 2WD auto it's anybody's guess as to why some have high tunnel and others have low tunnel floor pans.

What year was the orange and what year was the black Mike? Maybe it depends on year. I have a 78 f250 2wd auto with the same small tunnel as the black one you posted.
