Thank you for sharing your photos of Saskatchewan Ford and Mercury Trucks. I grew up a farm boy in West Central Saskatchewan and learned to drive on a 1952 Ford F-6 three ton at harvest. I had a valve seat come loose and destroy a piston. I repaired the old 239 with a new piston. Etc. I live in Regina and love to discover old Fords and Mercs still in existence in our great province. I'll try sharing a few photos when I get home this weekend. Maybe we can get together for a coffee sometime and chat.

Here is my first post with pics. This truck is similar to the first one I drove. This one is a 51 Merc M-5.

 

Did you buy this truck? That looks like a nice one, and a Merc at that.

 

No. I just took pictures. The truck is being used as a billboard for a towing company. I am looking for a 51-52 Canadian built F1 or M1 with a 239 Flathead.

 

Here's one you guys might like. I forgot about it until I was going thru some pics we took during our most recent Montana trip to buy my 51 F3 M-H. Enjoy!

 

Some time the ole black & white pictures are the best.

 

Shouldn't be too difficult. There seems to be a lot of old truck tin in central Canada. Lots of pics from there showing off really nice trucks waiting for a new home, and new life. Good luck with your search. Welcome to the forum!

 

Thanks 52 Merc. Saskatchewan has a lot of old trucks, but they are getting harder to find. I will take my time and hopefully find the right one.

 

....Been a while since I posted any "finds" here. Was out yesterday and stumbled across this sort of rare 3-tonner Mercury Wrecker. Tracked down the owner. Talks are on.....
