I'd sure like to go on a weekend cruise with you, you sure find some nice stuff.

 

I don't think he went for a drive, I think he went shopping!. I wanna go shopping too.

 

He has the eye of an eagle and the nose of a bloodhound when it comes to old iron!!!

 

That he does and he is obviously in the right area to find it, I could sure use some pieces found on some of the iron he comes across.

 

...Some of the trucks I find are not for sale. Some are but a bit pricey. And I regularly hear "gonna fix it up some day". And some unfortunately end up in truck heaven flat as a pancake. But afew sneak thru all the negative and end up in my back yard.... Yup, the line up is really that long......

What are your plans for all these trucks Stan, are you parting any of them out?

 

...Some will get parted out. Some are quite complete so will make a good project for someone. I will keep some 46-47 trucks as I drive a 46 Mercury and a 47 Ford pickups. Also have a 56 1-ton tow truck so keeping parts for it. And I have a couple projects for later. Yup, i'm gonna fix them up someday...

I'd like to take a Mercury truck to a car show in Ohio just to hear all of the negative comments about Mercury never making a truck.

 

Passed this one yesterday heading home from the track. Story from my father is that it's been sitting there for about 50 years now. Owners wont sell it.

In comparison it was a fairly new truck when they parked it. Must have some sentimental value. Your google view comes in better than mine. Too bad they won't sell, could still be in pretty good shape.
