HOLY CRAP!! All these beauties are sitting around deteriorating, and people who own them, for the most part, won't let go or save them.
I have been actively looking for over a year for a set of steps and a driver's door for my 1956 C600, and can't find anything to complete my COE.(And 53-56 are interchangeable)
I'm starting to think Midnight Auto may be my only salvation, but it's hard to work on it from a jail cell!
Regards, Mark.

...And now for something a bit different.....Back in 2003 a friend of mine told me about a 53 Pickup sitting in a yard. The truck was used by a local body shop as a parts chaser way back when. So I go check it out........
...Yup, genuine 53 F-100. Quite solid, motor not seized, great for a project, custom grille ... ah ...well ... yeah...... $550. changes hands, it follows me home....
...Not having time for another project back then, I stored it away for a future project. Now this is where it gets interesting.
...We've all heard of people using, over-using, re-inventing the term "barn find" ... Well, I have inadvertently created a real "barn find" truck here.
... First you need a barn. ...
...Pry open the door, and find the treasure....
Along with other parts hidden away....and the manditory layer of dust...
....Now, this is where it gets a bit confusing. Its not really a barn find, cause nobody has found it yet. ... And in the 12 years its been hidden away, I have not shown it to anyone.... So we will just slide the door closed, keep it hidden away until the day I have time for it.... and I doubt it will be "found".
