That's a 51-52 5 Star Extra cab on that 48-50.
Big back window says 51-52 cab. Stainless trim says Mercury cab. Grille is a 48-50 Mercury. Truck sits on a newer 4X4 chassis. Sitting out in the weeds means.... someone has given up on it......

The stainless trim was also on the 51-52 Ford 5 Star Extra cab, as was the driver's door keyhole. But since it's in Canada, I'm sure you're right.

Hey Stan's,
First, thanks for posting all those pics. I guess we are kind of lucky up here in Saskatchewan. We have a place close to Eastend. I got both my F1 and F3 from down the road. Is that VW Van for sale? Used to drive them all the time and would love to get another one. Maybe PM me or ?

Looks like the passenger side and possible the hood are still OK. Probably could make your money back in parts. Did you see what engine it had? Might have a YBlock with Ram horns... Check to make sure the manifold bolts are all in a line otherwise it's a Lincoln YBlock and the Ram horns won't work without making an adapter.

I think the rams horns that fit our F-100's are found in newer trucks like (not sure of the exact years... I got it written down somewhere) 1958-63...
and you are right about the bolt holes being all in a straight line....

You are correct. According to Timmy's Y Block page timmy's Y Block Page: Exhaust

Rams Horns

An attractive dual exhaust installation is possible by using Rams Horns, exhaust manifolds that came on 600 and above series Ford trucks with Y Blocks from 1961 to 1964. These manifolds have generous dimensions, smooth sweeping curves, and to many make a pleasing addition to the engine compartment. Recent magazine articles have increased their popularity, however, and some have paid as much as $350 a pair! Agricultural area wrecking yards and farmers fields are an ideal place to look: Those old Y Block trucks and school busses may sport Rams Horns. Remember that both sides are the same, so if only one is available, the left installation can be done first, and the right installation performed when another manifold becomes available. The crossover port of the right hand stock manifold can be closed with a piece of plate. If you get your manifolds from a vehicle, be sure to get the dipstick and tube if you can; they are different than the stock F100 pieces.
