I am familiar, that 3.0L and 4.0L aerostars came with A4LD's with different internals, stronger and weaker. But was there any even weaker than 3.0L version available, for 4cyl pintos for example? Or is the 4cyl and 3.0 trans internals the same?

 

Most all A4LD parts are the same. Major stregnth difference is in the planetaries with stronger ones having more planets than others. The 4 cyl and 3.0 is the same thing.
