Question for you bronco owners
I normally hang out in the 73-79 truck section, but I have a question for yeah, how wide is a a frame on a early bronco? Why I ask is I'm looking for a set of header for my 79 f150 4x4 4 speed that I put a 302 in and I've herd that maybe early model bronco headers will fit, but I need to know the frame dimensions, thanks

I am interested to hear you opinion on this, please explain why fenderwell exits are NOT a good idea.
I am new to the EB thing.

Not to speak for tabascom, but my thoughts are that Bronco headers that go down between the narrow Bronco frame and engine are guaranteed to clear the wider truck frame (although they might hit other things). However bronco headers that are intended to go down the outside of a narrow Bronco frame wouls be a bad choice for use in a truck because they would likely hit the wider truck frame.
That said, I personally wouldn't want fenderwell exit headers on a Bronco (or a truck) even if they didn't hit the frame. They'd likely interfere with tire travel and they'd look like dragster headers on a vehicle that looks nothing like a dragster.

Ok was the OP asking about using EB fenderwell exit headers on a truck application? Yes than bad idea, cause it would not work.
I was thinking tsbascom16 had a different idea?
Yea this is.... not a good looking as this.....when it comes to fendwewell exits.
BTW the ol red mudder has a 6" lift and either 35x14.50x16.5 or 36x12,50x16.5 and NO interference with tire travel.

Nothing Special summed it up. If the headers can fit down between the engine and the frame rails in a Bronco they surely should fit in a truck.
The fenderwell exit headers likely would not be wide enough to get outside of the truck frame.
I would recommend staying away from fender well exit headers. Larger tires at full lock could destroy them.

Here you go, only one I had in my pic stash. I would get you more detailed ones, but I am not any where near it.
This is right after I bought it from a guy that had no idea what he was doing....
Actually the dvrs side is not bad to get to the collector, but the passenger side it very tight to work on.
I a sure there is some header advice in the engine forums?

I'm using factory shorties from an 88 stang in my eb. Driver-side fit no probs but Pass is tight at the collector. These are stamp steel so I was thinking of cutting off the collector and extending it further down for better clearance. Jus my .02

Question needs immediate response please
Looking to purchase a 1986 bronco this weekend. Haven't seen it in person, but from pics, body looks great. He's asking 1900 for it which seems high to me because I know that it has really high mileage. Any estimate on the value? Thanks in advance.

Nope, no estimate. Way too many variables that we don't know. But an '86 anything with a good body is rare and is likely to be priced that way. Fixing everything else is usually a lot less expensive than fixing rust.
But a few other tips. If you get the vehicle you might have better response in either the '78 - '96 Bronco forum or in the '80 - '86 F-Series truck forum. Either of those will be more to the point for that vehicle than this forum ('66 - '77 Broncos).
Also, you're better off starting a new thread if you're opening up a new question. Just click the "new thread" button in the upper left part of the forum page. Tacking it on as a response in an existing thread makes it likely to get lost, and can tick people off if it seems like you are hijacking an active thread. But by all means reply to an existing thread if it's more-or-less on topic.
And finally, when you start a thread pick titles that are more descriptive. asking "What's an '86 Bronco worth?" will get more attention from people who might have an answer than "Help!" or something to that effect.
Sorry if I came off harsh here, I really don't mean to be. Welcome to the forum and we all learned the guidelines sometime!
