I recently bought a similar OBDII Bluetooth Scan tool, BAFX on Amazon for $23. Also works great with the Torque app for Android.
Question - bought it cause my engine light came on (Escape). Code is for the O2 sensor after the Cat. So, I set up the graphs in Torque for both bank 1 and 2 sensors after the Cats. After warm up, Bank 1 Sensor 2 (1x2) reads normal 0.18 V, however 2x2 reads constant 0.75 V (and this one jumped around alot at decel and accelerations.
Any clues? Possibly just the sensor, or, possibly the cat is already bad. 110,000 miles.
Thanks all.

You should start your own thread in the proper forum for your Escape. Nobody in this section has an O2 sensor in their truck and most don't have CATs.

That being said, bank 1 sensor 2 is the one that looks bad to me. The cats are suppose to remove all the oxygen from the exhaust and your O2 sensor should read ~.8-.9 volts in the absence of oxygen. If you have a multimeter and torch, you can test your O2 sensors (just check youtube for a video), or you can swap sensors from side to side and see if the voltage readings follow. Also, here's a thread I started when I had bad cats on bank 1 of my wife's Expedition. There's some good info in there... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-misfires.html

I'm trying to get my 97 to communicate with the ECU, how do I do it please?

Have you paired the BT dongle to your device? Have you used it on any other vehicles as of yet? Just trying to see where we need to start.

So, what's the good dongle to get now? I've seen several people say different things? I would like one that goes to sleep? Or, at least has a power switch.

I don't have any experience with any of the dongles except the one I listed, and it has been working fine for me this whole time.

I have a BAFX dongle from amazon.
Amazon.com: BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool for Android Devices: Automotive Amazon.com: BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool for Android Devices: Automotive

I remembered to take my tablet for the first time since I installed gauges and I noted that the Trans Temp was about 20-30 degrees higher with torque. The sending unit for the gauge is in the test port, where is the sending unit that torque gets its data from?

Where did you get your TFT formula from?

The formula in this needs correction. It should be (((a*256)+B)*-0.00360)+212.98<br/><br/>Its missing the minus before the 0.00360<br/><br/>This is the farenheit one.

Do yall leave yours plugged in? Does it have sleep mode? Or, is sleep mode, on/off irrelevant?

I think that one is the poly one that was being tested buy I'm not sure. is there a way to tell which formula and existing gauge is using?

I unplug mine when it is not in use because it does not have a sleep function.

I have left mine plugged in for months on end, with no issues. Power light is always on.

Thomas, it looks like you are using the linear TFT formula. A while ago on the TP there was a thread where these guys were working on developing some of these custom formulae and they ended up with a polynomial equation (third order IIRC) for TFT that is much more accurate. They also noted a 10-15°F difference between the sensor and aftermarket gauges in the pan since the TFT sensor is in the valve body.

Forums ? » Torque OBD ECU Scanner » Torque Discussion / Ideas » Trans temp, IAT, and MAPTorque

They have since added the "^" for powers so that makes it easier to input.
