80-96 doors. Are they the same???

Are 80-96 doors on an F-150 the same? They look the same but could I put the door panels from an 87 onto a door that is advertized as an 80-86 door. They should bolt up the same right. Also are the rocker panels and cab corners the same?? JcWhitney has the rockerpanels for a 80-86 truck advertized as 15.00 and the 87-96 ones as 39.00. Quite a big difference on something that i think is the same. Thanks for any help.

I know the doors are the same. I'm not 100% on whether the door panel holes will line up, but I believe they will, as I've seen an '85 F150 (locally) that has had '89 door panels installed. The cab corners should swap, and I would believe the rockers would, also. We are talking about the rockers below the door sill, correct? If not, and if you're instead referencing the rocker panels along the lower section of the bed quarter panels, then there probably is a difference. In '87 (through '96), Ford redesigned the fender flares / wheel openings at the front fenders and rear quarters. They have more of a smooth, rounded arch than did the '80 - '86's.

I'll check to see if the panel holes are the same. The rockers I am refering to would be the outside edge of the cab floors between the front of the cab and the cab corners. They would be under the doors when they are closed. I thougt that the cab corners were the same.
