Can you say, "I started with this cool idea but had no idea of how to do it and once I started I realized I spent a lot of time and money on something I know will never work so I posted it on Craigslist hoping someone goofier than I will buy it for big bucks." ?
Typical rat rod, frame swap. Face it buddy, it's going to sit there until either your wife, mother or city tells you have 30 days to dispose of it. I can't see in their right mind offering a penny more than scrap for that monstrosity.
Oops, sorry, there I go hating again. I am sorry, really, I am.

Bob, you are so closed minded. There is so much potential there.
I mean the doors are almost done. You need only a little tweaking on the rear suspension. Just think how much fun it would be having the driveshaft (once you get one) spinning at chest level as you drive. I'm sure the IH version of midfifty will have the glass on hand for all around. Well that is after you find an engine to put in it..
Shoot you should be able to have that on the road in a week or two.

I tend to like them more for the creativity of the builders. I've already collected a few small ideas for my 53 from Rat Rods.
I don't think I'd ever actually build a real one, but as a kid, I used to build them all the time when my little brother would smash my car and truck models. I save the pieces and glue and or weld them together in some pretty interesting combinations.
But love the genre or loathe it, you have to admit, some of them are pretty cool.

For me I don't really have any objections to second truck you posted. As long as it was safely built I think of that one more of a hot rod. The first one, the bus, looks pretty good but I feel the windows could offer poor vision and I don't like the rust look. The rat rods I just can't stand are the death traps that are cobbled together with booger welds with sharp, jagged pieces of metal tacked on. To me those types of vehicles are built just for the shock value.
