Any good body lift kits out there?
I was just doing some reading and ran across someone asking about getting the 2" LK and the 4" lift to get the 6" lift he wanted without having to buy the actual 6" lift kit that is really pricey.
Someone suggested he go with the body kit after doing the 2" LK, just searching around found some 3" body kits, but they all seem to be made of High Grade Reinforced Nylon Lift Blocks...
Has anyone install these kits? Has anyone found one for the 2011 V6 F150? everything I found was prior to 2009 and clearly stated V8 only...
thanks

I have used Performance Accessories kits in the past. AFAIK they are the best, but I'm not sure I know of another brand now that I think of it. I have kicked around the idea of doing a BL but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Let me know if you install one, and call the company to see if the V-8 and V-6 kits are interchangeable

Well just heard back from Performance Accessories - Perfomance Accessories
Here is the response:
We have actually just finished the R&D and it will be part number 70103 and separate Gap Guard 6742. This will be available in approx. 30 days as well as pricing. Just check back in approx. 30 days.
hope this is helpful to someone that may be looking for the kit as well..

Are you going to do it? I'm curious what it will look like. Like I said I have had BL kits on a few trucks in the past but I'm getting a little older now and not sure I want to look like some teenage kid driving around in a truck that high. BUT I always say growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional 😜

Honestly I did a body lift and I've defended the decision, I did a 4" lift but wished it was a bit taller, but you will be much happier if you start with a suspension lift before considering body lift. I added air bags for load and trailer but they can lift the rear a good 4-5 inches I am now considering a 2" level kit with it I think would be a great look. Check out icon vehicle dynamics lift kits
Having done it and spent time around lifted trucks you learn that you will be very happy if you spend the time and money on high quality parts and installation as well as not going shy from the height you want. You'll be very disappointed if you go through the trouble and it's not what you expected or doesn't hold up. Body lifts have their place mine worked out for me but regret of not going with suspension or enough height sucks
