Hi Don.
I went with the ceramic coated BBK 79-93 mustang shorty headers connected to a 2.5" H pipe exhaust. Stainless will start getting blue as you use them from the heat.
Thanks Jack....what have you done to your baby lately?
I've been unable to work on mine since late October because of rotator cuff surgery...still in Physical Therapy three days a week..but when they release me I'm gonna get back on it!
I hate to say it but the past month or two I've been lazy. I've have gotten out a number of times driving. I was in Germantown last weekend. I've got all the stuff to put the heater in if I simply make the time to do it.

I have the same application/year BBK chrome shorties and they're also discolored from the heat. Other than that, I'm happy with them. I'd probably get the ceramic coated if I had to do it all over.
I'm a dyslexic typist, so I feel your pain. I have plenty of room, but I'm running a complete TCI frame and MII suspension. I also have a 33" steering column. I angled the mounting bushings for the rack and pinion to give the input a more direct angle to the steering wheel. It all seems to work well.
Since I dont tune for max HP I use whatever fits and then finish by budget..
off topic but this is a very nice truck, hate to see it burn to the ground because of a cheap $1.99 plastic fuel filter. I would toss that thing immediately and get a glass or metal one. I have seen those crack from engine heat and age and it isnt pretty!
