Tremor Dropped for '15 MY, What About Raptor?

that was a short run. I really don't see why Ford doesn't keep the Tremor in the lineup, unless they are planning on dropping the Raptor and offering an SVT version of the Tremor.
I really think Ford would be making a big mistake dropping the Raptor since they are a hot seller, but I suppose the SVT guys want to make something else since th eRaptor has been on the market for awhile.

I'd love to see the real sales numbers on the Raptor. When they first came out, I saw a ton of them down here in TX, where bigger is always better. But I'm not seeing nearly as many any more. I'm wondering if the yuppies bought them to be cool, and then decided that they really weren't all that much fun to drive as a pavement queen.

I see the occasional Raptor. As somebody who likes a practical highway and work truck, it has not appealed to me at all(but what can I say, I'm the guy who doesn't care for lifted trucks and 37's).
I have not ever seen a Tremor in person. Hell, I forgot they existed until I read the above post.

I could be completely off here, but the way it sounds to me, based on the article, that ford has something interesting and hopefully cool in the works. I doubt they would be dropping it based on the "Ford did not have anything to say about the Raptor at this time." I feel like if they were going to drop it they would say so that the sells would get a temporary boost that could help fund retooling, but instead they are staying quiet. I am guessing they are at one of two points.
1. They have a whole new design with more unique features they are going to surprise buyers with in model year 2016, or
2. They simply haven't decided what to do with it yet. I watched megafactories when they were in the F-150 plant.
It apparently took significant work to get the raptor able to be built alongside the regular F-150 and from a mechanical engineering standpoint I understand how that could be enormously difficult, so they could be trying to figure out if it is even possible to share a 2015 F-150 and Raptor assembly line.

Wow wasn't the Tremor just introduced within the last 8 months? Talk about a really short run. Honestly I wish they would keep the Raptor, bout as sweet looking as a stock truck can get. Sure the mileage sucks but you don't buy a 6000+ pound truck for mileage, that's what cars are for.
I thought it was a really dumb idea for Ford to introduce a F150 with its own trim package with EcoBoost and 4.10 gears. They could have just as easily and cheaper too to offer an F150 EcoBoost with a 4.10s option for people. But I guess that would make too much sense. I bet someone out there already swapped in a set of 4.10s or lower into an EcoBoost F150 for the fun of it.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Raptor go bye bye. Especially sine the 6.2 isn't going to be offered in the f150 in 2015. And I think two things are contributing to that. One is the fuel mileage. That engine really put a hurting on the overall mileage numbers that Ford and all the other manufacturers need to improve in order to meet the café standards. And two is I don't think many people opted for the 6.2 in the F150 that weren't Raptors. Why pay the higher price for only 10 more lb.feet of torque.

Yes that probably is what the Tremor truck was built for. After all there has been a lot of people that complained that they couldn't get the egobooster in that configuration ever since Ford released the engine. So what better way to use the excess materials, then to give the people what they want. This practice is nothing new either. But it usually ends in a flop. This time it might be success though. As people wanted a reg. cab short box egobooster.
