PCV Tube, PCV valve

Hey guys,

I noticed the PCV tube, the one that is connected to the little black box on the drivers side valve cover and goes up to the turbo intake tube coming from the air cleaner, the o-ring has gone bad at the connection point where the tube connects to the black box. I'd like to get that fixed asap, since I noticed some oil residue around the area. Question is, can I replace just the tube, or do I need to replace the black box (pcv valve) too? Can anyone provide a part number for this?

I'm starting to wonder if this has anything to do with the fluttery starts I've been noticing when the truck is warm.

Thanks.

I don't believe it is like a gasser, the low pressure from the turbo sucks the oil and fumes out of the motor and makes a mess out of the charge air system and intake. Do a search on the pcv mod and see what other people have done.

It's just a green o-ring, part number in Bismic's post.

Cool,

Thanks guys, I wasn't aware I could buy just the o-ring. Usually they wanna get ya for the whole assembly or something.

I appreciate the feedback!!

When you get tired of buying that useless o-ring it's pretty easy to run a small bead of permatex around the tube where the o-ring goes before you put it in. I've been doing it for years, just have to let it set up a bit.
