F-150 w/random panic alarm activation

The dealership seems unable to fix the problem despite replacing the door-open switch assembly, door-lock actuator and the "RAP" module and after reprogramming the remote. I'm desperate for a solution, since this can occur anytime the keys are not in the ignition...even in the middle of the night. I'm hoping there's a fix, or that someone can advise on how to disable this function on the truck; I've eliminated the remote as a contributor by leaving them at work (still goes off). Any ideas?

Are you sure isn't just the sensitivity control causing it?

The truck does not have an alarm, I'm referring to the panic alarm feature on the remote entry.

If it is a factory system (thats all i deal with) the past 8 alarm events can be veiwed on the scan tool, which will narrow the serch down to the 1 switch(sensor) that is causing the problem. BTW what year and model is it and describe the remote?

Thanks for your reply. The remote entry is a factory system. The truck is a 1998 Ford F-150 XLT (Triton V8). The remote is a small (1-1/2" x 1") black unit with three buttons: lock, unlock & panic (red). FCC ID: CWTWB1U212.

Cordially,
Stuart Clark

My 1998 Ford F150 V8 Triton does the same thing. The dealer told me nothing was wrong with it and it still does it. They checked and said nothing was wrong with it even though it went off in thier shop. I was wondering if you fixed the problem yet and if so what did you do? My door ajar light also stays on sometimes making the lights stay on. I don't know if this has anything to do with the alarm. Thanks Teresa

Haven't soloved the mystery yet, although (for some unknown reason) it hasn't gone off during the last week or so: that I know of at least. I'd be happy to just disable this feature on the truck at this point. I hope we get some advice on this message board.
