Sometimes I ask myself...

why I have a F100, when I could be driving this:

1963 Galaxie 500 Street Rod"Hot Pepper"

And to keep this tech related, how many clips do I use to attach the front of the headliner to the roof above the windshield and how many clips to attach the main panel to the panel that goes above the rear window?

After looking at "Hot Pepper" I wondered that myself. Why aren't you driving it?

It's a 4 door sedan! Who in their right mind would spend money on something like this? 4 doors are "low man on the totem pole" when it comes to value.

They weren't used in NASCAR or as drag cars. Ridiculous.

1961/66 F100/1100 / 1963/66 N/NT/T500/1100;

5) C1TZ-6652118-A .. Retainer-Roof Trim Panel (Headliner)-Front / Obsolete

5) C4TZ-8152140-A .. Retainer-Roof Trim Panel Rear Section to Center Section / Obsolete

"5 coats of clear after the stickers were applied to keep it show room bling for years." Good thinking, Ace... gotta protect those K-mart stickers!

"its a attention geter. People hear you coming and stop everything to see you drive bye." Yep, I'm sure they do!

Oh, and Thanks for the interior diagram, Bill!

Id buy it, but not at that price.

Old 4 doors, built right, lowered a bit, look pretty cool IMO.

But that paint, and stickers....

I threw-up in my mouth a little just looking at that.

I may never eat hot peppers again. $15,000. Really? Then again, if they think that car design was a good idea...

Although a bit pricey, I want it?? Not sure I could get my head around the 'blue tuck' jig saw pattern interior with the green/white exterior. Perhaps more knowledgeable member can advise whether a 289 at .040 over can be described as a 'big block' engine?? Unfortunately have never had the opportunity to visit the great state of Ala., kinda visualize a citizen of that great state driving around in a Highboy, with gun racks, mud flaps, and grille guard, not the 'hot pepper'?? Wonder if seller would trade for a set of stack knifes??

It was probably an experimental or prototype powerplant for the '63 "Hot Pepper"!

We were obviously thinking along the same lines regarding wanting a '63 Galaxie. The one I wanted was a '63 and a half fastback, 427, 4 speed. I've wanted one literally for 50 years. Finally got what I wanted last November. Needs a good bit of work, but . . . And yes, the 289 was available (first year) in the '63 Galaxie.

very nice 63. 63's and 64's i think are pbly the most popular year galaxies.
i'm refering of coarse to supersabe's 2dr not the "hot pepper". HP is not very impressive in my opinion.

Ok,,, number 1 for the 30 ASE certified mechanic who posted the ad,,, Learn to friggin SPELL you dork. Do people not realize just how STUPID they seem when they caint even punkualize or spel dem wurds write? Glad to see stupid lives all over, oh that's right, they elected their fearless leader twice,,, but really now, off my soapbox,,,
Why aren't you all over that Shadow?!?! I mean your truck is worth $3500, YOU sir could be driving the "Hot Pepper" that is worth 20 stinkin grand for ONLY $15,000!!!
I don't know about you, but after I fell off my chair in, ummm, surprise,,, yeah that's it, surprise, I was checking for flights to good ol'Huntsville Alabamy!!

Is it just me, or has there been a whole new crop of stupid show up on CL in the last, say maybe a year or so? It really has gotten to be almost a waste of time, (I said ALMOST.!!) to go on and actually look for something. Nowadays, some moron who can't speel but has his "smartfone" has some pile o'crap that since it is older than his parents is worth a fortune?!?! Just seems to be quite prolific as of late to me.
But anyways, post the pics of you driving it Shadow!!! Soon!!
