Having Problems with my F250

I have a 2006 f250 diesel and today I had a alarm put on my truck with remote start well it was running fine and no problems but I drove to the store just a little while ago and when I started it up it was lagging and then died kept doing that so I fig it was my new alarm so I took all the fuses out of the alarm and it still did the same thing started for a few seconds then died while it was started I pushed on the gas and nothing well my bat finally died so I had a friend come and jumpstart me and started right up but then it threw a code and the ck engine light came on not sure what code it is I have to go get it cked out tomorrow but since I jumped it off it is working fine but has the ck eng. light on we tested the battery's they were good but the alt. was testing at 12.5 instead of 13.5 my friend said that could have something to do with it but I am no mechanic so I have no idea what it could be does anyone know what it could be? Plz Help bc I just bought this truck 3 days ago!

I think you may have gotten water in the fuel. Sounds like all the symptoms, cept for the low alternator reading.

I'm not too familiar with the 6.0. But there should be a way to drain the water from the fuel bowl. Get the code read and see what it says. Then post back.

That's your crank position sensor. It also causes no start, rough running , dieing. It is a common failure. Easy to fix.

For more help on the subject I suggest posting down in the 6.0 diesel forum.
