460 balancer question

At the factory a rubber gasket is placed between the inner damper and outer pulley, then the three parts are pressed together forming a one piece assembly.
What occurs: Over time the gasket age cracks/shrinks, causing the outer pulley to begin to "walk away" from the inner damper.
If not noticed, the pulley will separate from the damper, taking assorted belts along with it, may end up in the radiator core. Not pleasant!
1973/79 F100/350 460: FoMoCo offered double (DOAZ-6A312-A) and triple (DOSZ-6A312-B) sheave accessory outer pulleys that bolt to the balancer to add P/S, A/C.

1979: There are two different types of 460 harmonic balancers and flexplates, as FoMoCo went to a weighted crank damper spacer (external balance) mid-year.
D9TZ-6316-B .. 460 Harmonic Balancer-Use with D9TZ-6359-A weighted spacer and block casting number: D9TE-6015-AB
D4VZ-6316-A .. 460 Harmonic Balancer-Does not use a weighted crank spacer. Use with block casting numbers D1VE-6015-AB or A1B or A2B
