Probably a good thing, since the geometry would be so wrong as to be seriously dangerous. Steering is not something to Goober engineer! He could have put in the Toyota steering conversion on a 59 tho.

But what he has is a 59 Ford galaxie 2dr hardtop-& i agree with all of you (better him than me) the car was a piece of junk to start with he paid $5000 for the car site on seen,he took the word of an old man told him it was a good deal, when he got the car it was not even worth $500 it was junk & he has been doing body work on this thing for 2 yrs & he is by no means a body man,he has used pie tins to try & fix his tailights, right now he has spent about $28,000 on this thing he thinks that he is going to have a real nice show car when he gets done YA RIGHT

That's very sad, I feel bad for the guy. If it weren't for the guys here on FTE, my truck may have ended up like that.

Hear of this a lot where a person buys a car sight unseen. I couldn't imagine buying with out laying my eyes on it. I,d rather make a wasted trip, be it driving or flying. The cost of the trip would out weigh the cost to repair a rusted heap not worth restoring. But it happens every day, I just don't get it.

His second mistake was not admitting he got screwed, and dumping good money after bad. Sometimes it's cheaper to quit while you're ahead.

Obviously not a mechanic either!
Some have more money than sense. 28K could have bought a really nice 59 Galaxie.
