2.3 85 ranger mystery ground wire
Still having electrical issues...found a ground wire that is bolted on the underside of the lower intake manifold, there is a sensor just above it. The wire starts at the lower intake manifold and joins in the large group of main wires. The ground wire is not connected to anything and looks like it may have been connected at one time to the green wire with connector or two blue wires with connector. I know its a shot in the dark, but if anyone can help me figure out where this ground connects to, I may be on the fastrack to fixing my problem.

Can anyone verify that there is a black ground wire coming from the plug to the ignition coil??
The coil on the plastic inner fender has a separate black ground wire attached to the bracket the E-coil is bolted onto. There is a circle type connector that is held to the bracket by a sheet metal screw. I did not follow the wire under the plastic 'sheet' that forms the splash shield very far, but it seemed the wire went into a harness there.
