Hello all! Well after 2 years, I have decided to start my latest project. My inlaws 56 F100. I has sat in a heated barn for the last 40 years. It was a farm truck and never tagged. Specifically, it is a 272 Fordomatic with less than 70K original miles. I will post picks soon. My plan is to install a 429 SCJ and C6 transmission. IRS front and rear along with disc brakes. It looks like there are a lot of smart and great people on this forum and I look forward to talking to you all!
Welcome to the group. You will need to post a couple more times to post photos
Welcome to FTE!
Actually there is no post limit for adding pictures. I added pics to my first post.
The pics need to be on the Internet somewhere first. I use Photobucket for mine. Here's one way to put pics in your posts.
Go to Photobucket.com and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.
While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg
Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).
When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).
Hi Man that is a nice Truck to restore I wish I had one in that good of shape too.... Definitely my next Project & 1956 AWESOME Looking forward to see your progress & Welcome to "FTE" (SUBSCRIBED)
Thanks for all the responses! My plan is to resto-mod the truck, so I will have lots of OE parts for sale soon. I have acquired a 429SCJ motor and trans. Plan to install disc brakes and leave the exterior and interior stock.
